Back from a TERRIFIC Spring break doing lovely things with wonderful and unusual people. Went back to parting my hair on the side instead of the middle . . . I think I might let it stay this way for a while. Most guys with semi-long hair it down the middle--parting it on the side makes me stand out from the crown and might even add a little maturity to my face, I'm going to have to keep it a straight part too. Special thanks to the person who showed me the right way to part hair ; )
As after any break, I feel reinvigorated and think I'm going to sit my butt down and do serious work everyday without being distracted. I have quite a bit of homework to do . . . catching up from the homework I chose not to do while studying for midterms before break. I should sit down and do it . . . I'm going to work on my paper as soon as I finish this, I promise.
The Amnesty International meeting I'm heading is on Wednesday . . . it's the annual (?) bring a friend meeting. Katie Boggs wants to come with me . . . she's been interested for a while, so all should be good.
Tons of writing and reading to do . . . two journal entries for my Inteflex seminar and a paper to rewrite, along with reading the second half of A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf. I guess I also have to read chapter 25 of chem, and start reading the Chem Lab stuff for my test next week.
Listen to your friends . . . they really have a lot to say to you. Talking is one of the only ways we have to connect our own separate universes. I live in mine, you live in yours--each of us has our own beliefs and values, separate from each other yet all dependent on each other and reality. Try to explore these dependencies, widen the channels through which they are connected . . . you will give both you and your friends wider universes to live in.
Ha! Sophistry . . . so much fun!
4:25 p.m.
Guess what I didn't end up doing . . . yep, my paper.
Nicole was telling me the other day about how she thought it was disgusting that guys only shook and didn't wipe after they urinated. Reflection on the commode today (yep, that is where we all do our best thinking, isn't it?): maybe guys would learn to wipe if we had toilet paper next to the urinals--it would be a lot easier. It's right there for girls . . . not to mention the fact that they need to wipe more than guys do.
When I'm rich I'm going to give money to public institutions to put toilet paper next to urinals :)

I just read an essay for my Inteflex seminar on how to define morality that is truly amazing. I dont have it here with me, but Ill insert more about it when I have time. Maybe Ill even be able to find it on the net and post it up on my site! That would be cool . . . I do remember that it was first published in 1892, so the copyright has expired.
